How a shoot works

1. Concept

We start from your brief and I build a treatment with references, set ideas and a shot list.

2. Production

Crew, set design, props, casting and locations, planned to your budget. I have produced shoots for large brands and small studios alike.

3. Shoot

In a New York or Los Angeles studio, or on location, with product styled and lit on set so the images need little fixing later.

4. Delivery

Retouched files sized for web, social, print and retail, with usage agreed up front.

Questions

Where do you shoot?

In studios and on location across New York City, including Brooklyn and Manhattan, and in Los Angeles. I travel for projects and can also shoot with product shipped to the set.

What kinds of products do you photograph?

Fragrance, beauty and skincare, jewelry and watches, bags and accessories, food and drink, and packaging. Most of my work is styled still life with a strong set, texture and props rather than plain white backgrounds.

Do you handle production?

Yes. I came up as a creative producer, so I can take a project from concept and treatment through crew, set design, props, locations, budget and final retouching, or plug into a team that already has those pieces.

Can you also shoot people with the product?

Yes. Many campaigns pair still life with portraiture, like the Régime des Fleurs and D.S. & Durga work.
